Spotify is working on a new feature called Social Listening, which allows multiple people to add songs to a shared queue. The streaming service currently has a prototype of the feature, but it is only accessible to the platform’s employees. There is no information on when the feature will be released publicly.

To share one of these playlists, friends must scan the playlist code. It is important to note that the feature does not have a synchronized play. What makes it different than a normal playlist, however, is that songs are added and played like a queue.
