This mixtape is disgusting and it shouldn’t be posted on this website. I’ve seen this guy embraced by so many sites and now New H2O joins the “Fan Club”. This guy is self-centered and self-absorbing. Sorry but you get NO LIKE from me on this one! I pray that New H2O doesn’t continue to post music like this. I know “Preacher Boy” claims to be new school and says his approach is different but I am not sure that these approaches are what’s good for the Kingdom! God dont need no help and he doesn’t need us to conform our ways so that we’re more appealing to the world. We need to not be conformed to this world. I followed Preacher Boy when he was known as the “Sexpert” Lawrence Love and heard songs from him such as, “Till The Break Of Dawn”, “Sexpert” and the list continues. We have yet to hear ANYTHING from this man that glorifies the Kingdom. I question his intentions when it comes to spreading what he calls, “Kingdom Music” Let’s get real people. Music like this and Canton Jones is not CHRISTIAN music. And they label it as Kingdom Music so they can put any garbage out and make money off of it. Lecrae, Trip Lee and Da T.R.U.T.H. are real Christian artists and we need more music from them. This right here will not “hydrate” anyone. LMAO! Reply Shawn "SavingSouls" McFarland November 27, 2010 at 10:02 am Unfortunately there isn’t a ZERO to give this “LAME” as he would call it! Reply King Miles November 28, 2010 at 3:49 pm i never listened to Rey King much but to say that Canton Jones is not a christian artist is way out of line………songs like “Nobody Cared” or “Living Clean” or any of his songs for that matter they all have Christ at the center. mabey you think songs like “You and Me” are not gospel because does have a difrent feel to it but his words always come from a christian stand point. or mabey you don’t like how he talks about his money eventhough God clearly wants us to have money “Christ was made poor so that we may be rich” and thats scripture. i don’t why you would say a thing like that when Canton Jones goes from city to city state to state and country to country with the result of thousands upon thousands giving their lives to God…….but you were right about your comment on Da Truth and Lecrae and Trip Lee Reply Bruce July 5, 2011 at 5:47 pm My man did you really give this cat the biz then finish your post with “LMAO”…You do know that means A%$…right? Why don’t you do what I did after hearing the mixtape, PRAY FOR HIM. That he will encounter Christ like Saul, be humbled and get a Paul-like change. STOP THROWING STONES FELLOW CHRISTIANS!!! and start praying. Your slogan from now on is ‘Throw prayers not stones”! Step your prayer, love and grace game up Fam!!! Apparently after Christ said “let he who is without sin cast the first stone”, you decided to run to grab a bolder…huh? Do I agree with a lot onthe Mixtape? No! Especially since I make mixtapes. I would much rather him use the gift to lift Christ. But he is a new believer and 22 yrs old when he made the mixtape. Just think of all the stupid stuff you did when you first got saved. Then put down your stone and pick up your prayer life. B Reply brotha pain November 27, 2010 at 11:12 am @shawn i agree wit what u say up until the end do u kno what the A in that acronym stands for thats a curse word bruh and that type of language need not be spoken by christians…. jus sayin sides dat i agree bro Reply YoungSoul November 27, 2010 at 1:12 pm Wow let me start by saying @ Shawn i hope you feel better about yourself…Cause in God Eyes you just put ur self in a rock and a hard place…I will start off with saying that Ray King is A Great Man of God…He expresses himself and a differnet way that his still able to Praise God and Save those who are lost…Who are we to judge the way somebody lifts up the King..I say his Style is Unique and is helping people get closer to there Lord and Savior… Now when you start talking about Preacher Boy you Really made me Mad…Let me Start by saying…its those who try to judge people off there backgrounds that keep lost souls out of Chruch…Yes he did used to be confined to the World…But we serve a Forgiving God that Renew Minds and Clean and Purify Souls…See Preacher Boy is more like my brother…Since he Accepted Christ in his Life, His been taking Journey and Christ has been Blessing Him and allowing to do Wonderful things in Gods Kingdom…Not for the Blessings of his soul but for Others…Since his been Worshiping Christ His Put out Jesus Music Vol.1, and got many more Projects on the Way…and this site alongs gives us Christains a place to come for Good Music to the Soul…If u gone come at a person make sure they still confind to the world.. instead od bashing my Brother you need to Join my brother in these Movement, and i leave by saying.. Even tho u hateing, we still gone Pray for you…God Bless…. Reply Micah "Preacher Boy" Butler November 28, 2010 at 2:23 pm God Bless You my brothers! I will keep you in my prayers! Reply Tha Mic December 3, 2010 at 1:04 am Man yall dudes really go too hard on here wat up Micah and Young Soul Keep doin yall thang, dont let those words that are used O so very loosely knock ya. God Bless yall doin a great Job! Reply Lawrence December 3, 2010 at 6:55 am Well, to be honest I agree with what Shawn. I listened to this mixtape and all I could hear was “boasting”. Christian Rap is only Christian Rap when aligned with the Word of God. Artist like Lecrae, Trip lee, and Tedashii have become what they have become because they have substance, and that substance derives from the Word of God. Reply Nick December 3, 2010 at 10:51 am What I don’t think a lot of people understand is that a lot of artists can’t be like Lecrae or Trip Lee. They speak to the believers, but artists like Rey King reach out to the more non-believer. Kind of similar to how there are starter churches that attract people to become new believers and then there are churches for believers who have come to know Christ a long time ago. Those churches challenge Christians to grow in their faith they already have (Trip Lee & Lecrae) and the other churches reach out to people who don’t know Christ already (Rey King). Reply JT April 13, 2011 at 7:51 am @Shawn i agree with you 100% besides that LMAO part…… but yea i tryed listen to this mixtape awhile back and i just wasnt feelin it I also, tryed listening from his perspective but i couldnt find anything that really pointed to CHRIST, with that being said I’am a 16yr old teen that listens to Lecrae and other ReachRec Artist, ect…. this mixtape jus sounds like a regular worldly mixtape, i used to listen to secular music about 2yrs ago and i honestly didnt get spiritly feed off this and even if its was used to reach ppl outside of the church i dont it would have gave them the right message, the gospel is the gospel it doesnt need to conform to the world for it to reach anybody, I was reached by Lecrae’s music when i was a unbeliever and if you need something that reachs you through boasting lyrics then something might just be wrong, to be real he kinda sounds like PRo when he first started to rap…… but with that being said he can still learn from this project and use gift to glorifie God more, jus look at PRo he changed, cuz he knew his music wasnt representing the write message and now Rey King has to relize this but the most we can is pray for him, GOD BLESS LET THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST BE WITH YOU!!! Reply ReDeemed Dynammikk March 1, 2011 at 9:13 am I’m an old school Christian. But the Body has a lot to learn. Eternity has been set in the hearts of man. Why do Christians keep fighting Christians? Because they are too afraid to fight Satan. Rey King is a young believer and he is growing. He may have a lot of zeal, but he seems to be fulfilling what CHRIST has given him to accomplish. Pray for him and reach out to him if you think he needs your help at edification and winning souls and soldiers for CHRIST. Romans 8:13-14. Dynamikkk, OUT. Reply angela pastore July 5, 2011 at 6:29 pm Very good mixtape his production is so hot! Reminds me of “the legion” mixtape w l.o.s. but then again they are family! Reply David October 26, 2011 at 9:53 pm I laugh at some of this because, because a lot mention Datruth, but he fell into sin as well as the Ambassador and many call rey king not a christian as well as canton jones. Give him time to mature, you know that Paul spent about 13 years in the desert to become the christian he was know to be Reply GOD_CHASERS November 18, 2011 at 10:35 am **TRUTH THIS ALRIGHT. THING YALL GOTTA UNDERSTAND IS WHEN SOMEONE COMES OUT WITH A “DIFFERENT” WAY OF DOING IT ITS THEIR EXCUSE TO BE LIKE THE WORLD AND SAY ITS JUST MUSIC. THATS A PROBLEM. YOU SHOULDNT BE A MEDIOCRE CHRISTIAN BY ALLOWING YOUR CLLING BE MIXED WITH WHATS POPULAR IN MAINSTREAM AND SAY YOU ARE CHASING THE PEOPLE WHO DONT NORMALLY LISTEN TO CHRISTIAN HIP HOP. COREY RED DID IT, J LIFE DID IT REY KING DOING IT, OTHERS AS WELL AND THESE DUDES ARENT DIFFERENT. THIS JUST MEANS YOU HAVE BEEN SO USED TO LISTENING TO THE “OTHER” MUSIC THAT ITS BECOME YOU AND THATS WHAT YOU WRITE ABOUT AND YOU COVER UP THE FACT YOU ARE A POSITIVE RAPPER OR ARTIST, NOT A CHRISTIAN ARTIST Reply Jeezy December 7, 2011 at 10:03 pm REYKING personally stated to me he was not profeessing Christianity….i knew something was foul about this dude, simply put…the bible says out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks…listening to this album, we know whats in there….sorry bro, until you come off your idol like throne, i pray everything you do falls to the ground and perishes…i hate the fact you use God to get fame i feel sorry for you… Reply logos February 2, 2012 at 1:45 pm All yall need to become real Christians . If yall here talking bout others that means yall all sinners . So you are even worse LOL . Sensitive Christians which y yall proably stuff in the same cause ain’t gunna bless yall like that. Stay in your lane and let God handle it Reply logos February 2, 2012 at 1:48 pm I know him personally and yall all off . We won’t stop till the Kings on Top!!! Reply NotFromHere September 10, 2012 at 12:48 pm I didn’t anything specific to make people say his not Christian. I would like specific line and verse. I heard him say his was “fly”; is that the problem? Because alot of other things lift up God. I just want clarification. Reply Leave a Comment Cancel Reply Notify me of follow-up comments by email.
