2.0 – Light Work

This song “Light Work” is basically a collection of autobiographical accounts which explain what being a Christian and an “artist” is to him. The song is actually the 2nd incarnation of the concept. The first time he wanted to release it, 116 released a track titled “Light Work,” and after trying to let that die down…then Bizzle released a project with the same name. After a conversation with Bizzle laughing about it, he decided to go ahead and release it resolving that: “We’re just all in tune with a concept God must want released.”

2.0’s “Light Work” is based on 2 scriptures: Matt. 11:30 “For my yoke is easy and my burden is LIGHT” and John 1:4 “In Him was life, and that life was the LIGHT of men.” From those 2 scriptures he got the idea that “ministry” is no more than sharing the love (aka the “light” of Christ), and when you’re doing it in Christ, its not heavy or burdensome…but light; using Christ’s strength to do it.
